Today that light is carried by Israel's reservists, and by the families who carry on without them, month after month. Each mural, based on real photographs of a reservist and their children, is installed for public display in an Israeli community, where it will be seen every day for years to come.

Behind every reservist is a family
Israel's reservists have left their homes, their work and their children to defend the country, many of them again and again. Their families have carried the weight at home: children waiting for a parent to return, spouses holding everything together, through months of uncertainty. And for many, it isn't over.
These murals are a way for Am Yisrael to tell them clearly and permanently: we see your sacrifice, we are grateful, and we will not forget.
How a mural is made
Made by many hands
Children, parents, grandparents and neighbors sit side by side, placing each piece with care. The making of every mural is itself an act of gratitude.

- We coordinate final placement with the community, so every mural gets a wall where it means something.
